San Francisco Salmon Fishing Charters
Salmon can be fished year round, but the place for fishing for them changes throughout the year, depending on their migration. Pacific Salmon are hatched in freshwater streams, and they live in these streams until they are big enough to migrate down to the Pacific Ocean. Once they reach full maturity, they swim back upstream to the place where they were hatched, where they in turn lay their eggs and die. Therefore salmon can be caught in the ocean, during the times when the salmon are in the ocean, and in the rivers, during the times when they are migrating in the fresh water.
Depending on the location and method for fishing for the salmon, our expert fishermen at Sausalito Fishing Charters use both trolling and drifting fishing methods to catch these delicious fish.
